I figure I'll join the fray ABS and red brake warning lights But evey thing feels normal car still stops perfect
So you may have completely different codes then the one for the ABS pump accumulator or actuator The part the pumps the brake fluid do you hear that pump running all the time like when you shut the car off it'll keep running 30 40 seconds If you lift your hood and put your ear down you'll hear it's right there behind the inverter you can put your hand back there and feel the pump running while it's running of course after it goes off you can't feel anything so your codes could be related to a wheel sensor all kinds of other things besides the ABS actuator pump. Generally you listen for that pump running for a bit past 30 seconds then you have an idea that the pump is not able to build enough pressure to satisfy the system until about 30 seconds passes or better. But do get your codes and have them written down so next time you post here you have something that's tangible to work with
------------------- Naturally discovery of Prius - in and outs - will take time But Yes , from day of ownership when I shut motor down I hear a motorized sound I had believed to of been normal , 30 seconds is a long count not sure it goes that long i've also heard a restart of the motorized sound after motor is off & quiet always wondered why that would happen Putting foot on brake pedal , when car if off for the restart will cause motorized sound also
Generally that's a leak internally. And it's generally not repairable only can change out the unit when the system pumps itself up and nobody's touching anything brake pedals and all that it should hold that pressure for quite some time and that's that when it doesn't you hear the pump come on
