Hello I have a Innova 5510 scanner I can scan all modules Not sure how to find codes that are inverter related Does anyone know how to do that? Thanks
So when you connect the 5510 to the car right now with it on and run a scan you're not getting any p codes at all then hit the ABS code button and it'll scan your ABS see what it says on that so you have no codes some of the deeper codes the enova probably can't do but maybe it can I don't know that model
There are a lot of options in the module list but the one that gave me the code P0A0D was the hybrid control module I looked here and the guys said that code had to do with the orange connector thing in the back. So I checked it and made sure it was locked in (with the help of a youtuber) and my car started up. I was very happy about that
Yes on some of those orange plugs you have to snap your finger down very rapidly in order to make the connection of the little two pins in the handle for it to sense that the plug is inserted properly mine you have to put two fingers in the hoop and slam it down or a tool the end of a bent screwdriver or something you have to pull it down very smartly it'll hurt your fingers
Yes, same thing. In your video, look about 45 seconds in, where the narrator is holding the orange part so you can look right into it. Of course you see the two giant terminals in the middle, used to complete the battery circuit. But then look up and to the right, where the narrator's second knuckle wraps around, and you see two much smaller metal pins there, attached to the handle part. Those complete a separate, low-voltage, safety interlock circuit, just to confirm to the car that no one is fussing with the safety disconnect. Those don't complete the circuit until that handle is shoved fully home. When that safety interlock circuit isn't made, you get the P0A0D code to tell you so. The same safety interlock circuit runs through a couple of covers on the inverter under the hood, so you will also get P0A0D if someone is fussing with those. But the orange disconnect on the battery is the main thing anybody ever fusses with, so dollars to doughnuts, any P0A0D code is about that handle there.
