    Hey Team,

Looking for suggestions on how to handle a PCV valve that snapped off while putting it in. Likewise, is 20 foot pounds not correct?

Disregard! I was able to get it out with a nubby little screwdriver and some persistence. Photos attached for anyone in a similar predicament.

Spec is 15 ft/lbs. If it's a reused valve with nothing with semi-clean threads, non-permanent thread-lock is a good idea.

The whole front of the engine looks very oily, btw. The PCV valve can leak a little if threads not coated, but it seems to be just as oily up higher; maybe the valve cover?

You already got it out with the nubby screwdriver, but even if you hadn't, your luck wouldn't be so bad: if you look closely, you see the PCV valve in the 2ZR doesn't thread directly into the block, but into a small oil-separator cover that bolts onto the block, only about $66 MSRP. In the worst case, you'd just replace that. (You'd need a tube of form-in-place gasket also.)
