with that, will work to source a PRIME CVT and ecu modules along with the clutch parts now. oh boy, the heat is on!

Now thinking more actually, that's probably the ECU with the feature to press a button and the ICE stays on to charge the HV battery. hmmm would mean I get the two PRIME features I wanted actually!

With all that and your expertise, from 0-100% what percentage of this working would you give all this? I'm going to look myself, but in the meantime, what does the Gen3 CVT spin up to? EDIT: that wouldn't matter as id rather keep the Gen 3 CVT with the additional power over the Gen 4 unless you think the lost in power is a moot point since the Gen 3 cant spin as high as Gen 4?

EDIT AGAIN: you could be the voice of reason for me, taking these jumps off the tall building and not knowing if you'll be caught safely below has been what is slowing progress... heh. you saying " yeah in theory that will work" or "there is no possibility that would work" could help all these trains I have going get to their stations faster!

Better bring the Prime battery too- the Prime stuff is all set to run on a 350V system instead of the 200something in the cordless models.

so... close! plus.. that battery is useless, if anything id go with the new 10.something kWh nextcell plugin battery. but. I want the cells from the bz4x!! ill settle for the battery in the NX450h+ and have a source just need to confirm all the part numbers I need from the Japan spec PRIME for chademo fast charging ability. separately.. I want to try the PRIME 3.3 kW charger in the PLUGIN and try the 6.6 from Rav4 Prime in both PRIME and PLUGIN

since I have a PLUGIN already it has the hardware that essentially power the rear electric motor but to your point, the converter of the PRIME yes. I love its size as well, its so cute just havent gotten there yet, need CVT to get installed and running in a non modified drivetrain of a PLUGIN

well, no way around it... I have to have the PLATE, 1 WAY CLUTCH HOLDING made custom... It has to bolt to the m20a and not the 2ZR... trying to source a used one... not looking like that's possible. Need to see the return policy from the dealer if I don't install it. Thought about just getting a new one and holding on to it for the next test. Still need to find a contact who can make me one... putting this on the shelf, thought I could have it and bolt on but wasn't thinking about the new motor.... TBC

One of the better perspectives here

Sure can't trust comments based on comprehension rather than trial and error

Two percent only because there are still unexplained phenomena in the universe

For 40 years, Heinrich Schliemann spoke of Troy. 40 years until he found it did people use words towards him to say he was insane... more than once history has shown us large numbers of people can think one way towards a single individual and its later determined they were all wrong and the persistent person was not cuckoo for cocoa puffs.

edit: I want my Prius to go viral for beating a baby Tesla at the redlight... until I can figure out how to get max power from the Battery in EV mode through 80mph... I just need to have that power without the leg the Prime has when you step on it fully charged in Power mode. Not just to the front, but to the rear electric motor as well. I'm not confident the 2.0L and the rear motor will get me there. it's me fitting the HYBRID MAX in the Plugin with the rear motor that will get me there... that's almost 600HP. the kicker is the battery. no way I can be in 100kWh like PLAID.. but... new bz or one of the new lex EV will have a nice new battery hopefully closer to 100kWh... else the non oem ~50kWh battery that ships to me soon will be what it is!

I'm pretty sure that the times it has worked out that way, the single individual was extremely careful to learn, comprehend, apply, and check, everything that could help him/her avoid having it work out the other, much more usual way.

i agree completely.... is why it took me from April 3rd until today to set this one aside for now. May have set the motor in and pulled it out over the past year now... a good, 50 times now.. heh. .there is no other option than it working and working right. That's all I'm asking from the car. We can work on the bigger fish later. The end result is more power to traverse mountain tops loaded with close to 1k in gear, not overheat and not need a head gasket in 75k miles from all of the extra strenuous activities. If it survives where I'm going to take it, for those less extreme it will be right on the money for a long-lasting upgraded aftermarket Prius engine!
