I own a Toyota Prius Gen 4 2016 model, today i connected Dr. Prius app to my car via OBD2 bluetooth device, its showing 9 battery blocks instead of 14 and voltage difference is also 8.6 volts, my HV battery is working perfectly ok but why dr. Prius is showing this, see screenshot and help
My 2019 shows the same, I read somewhere that in gen4, they do not monitor individual banks anymore to save cost. I think it’s two banks per measurement. Apparently DrPrius accounts for that and reports the values correctly. But, mine also shows the voltage difference in the order of 8-9volts, so not sure how that part works.
But 3 months ago when i purchased this car, i checked that day voltage difference was 0.05 but now its showing around 8.65v, the only thing i have done during this period is replaced 12v battery, can it be the issue?
I wrote to their support email, they responded and told me they will look into it… we will see what they say about this…
You wrote to toyota? Please also share their email Id so i can also write the same to them. And also share their response when received, thank you dear
Looks like they fixed it, they said they update the app and it seems to work now showing more realistic delta voltage values
Yes you are right, but number of blocks are still 9 instead of 14, voltage difference is fixed but why 9 blocks only?
Dr prius says good battery 87% life, but 4 of 9 banks at 17 volts vs. 30s | PriusChat Second post on the linked thread… so, 1, 2 and 8, 9 banks are two blocks each, 3 through 7 banks are 4 blocks each, total 28. So as in older versions, 14 banks of 2 blocks each is 28 battery blocks, that seems to make sense…
Ya that makes sense but in that case voltage of block 3 to 7 should be double around 30v, but dr prius is showing same volt for all blocks
Can you please refer me any software other than dr prius, which shows battery voltages to confirm the same,
