Prius making sounds every few seconds since oil change

    Ever since I got an oil change this evening my Prius started making this noise like something is trying to engage followed by a whirring noise for 20 seconds, then it stops for 15 seconds and does it again every time. The oil was Full Synthetic 5W30. I would post a video but it's not letting me.

    It sounds like it's coming from here in this pic. I can hear the engaging noise from the cabin but can only hear the whirring noise when I pop the hood.

    Sound a little like a joy buzzer or a rattlesnake?

    You can search around this site for threads about the brake system pump, and probably find several with recordings or youtube links you can listen to and compare the sound.

    Neither. I know what the brake actuator failing sounds like because I've had to replace mine and it's different.

    How old is the 12v, and what voltage are you getting at the jump points under the hood?
