    Long term storage question.
I garage stored a 2011 Prius for 6 months. I disconnected the 12 volt battery prior to leaving. Upon my return the car was making a beeping sound every 30 seconds. I reconnected the 12 volt battery and the car started right up. EV battery showed over 50% full. The car runs fine but continues to beep. Called my local Toyota dealership and they have zero idea. Suggestion? Thanks.

Yeah something weird there. If it was a beep from the car, it would surely require the 12 volt to power it.

So let me get this straight, it beeped before you hooked up the 12V up? This is not possible, as far as im aware the HV battery should not have any parasitic electrical losses when 12V is disconnected and doesnt really power anything besides the transmission and AC compressor.

Are you sure someone didnt install a fire alarm sensor under your car?

I'm, also, puzzled at a beep when there's no 12-volt battery connected.

Other than the beep, anything else out of the ordinary? Any dash lights? (Check engine, traction control?)

Maybe get someone with a good scanner to connect it up and read all the codes and do a diagnostics. (Not all codes make the check engine light come on.)
