If anyone is interested in the all weather floormats for thier 2023 Prius, I am selling a set on ebay. I prefer the carpeted floor mats so I am selling the ones that came with the car. Here is the ebay link. https://www.ebay.com/itm/195900331920
I can't believe I'm about to be in $339 for these as included in MSRP by Southeastern Toyota distributor. For that I hope carpeted are included, as well.
I paid $299 for these when I bought the car but Toyota's suggested retail price is $179. Just another dealer scam.
Actually I just looked up the pricing and the $179 price doesn’t include the expensive $120 cargo liner.
I’m wondering about this too. I thought I saw a carpet option on accessory list so I bet they won’t be sending both. Pros and cons to both I guess. I like my carpeted cargo space. I put a tarp over it. Oh well…
The floor mat package is separate from the cargo area liner when bought as accessories. However, they are a package when installed at purchase. Aftermarket floor mats are $179, while the cargo mat is $120, which matches the package price when included at purchase.
Seems like every Prius I see on PNW dealer websites all have the $299 floor and cargo liners added at the port. Probably because of all the rain we typically get in the winter months.
Same here in New England. I just threw out my carpet mat from drivers side on my 2009. It was in pretty bad condition. I had purchased Weather Tech for my 2009 and had to return them because I couldn’t tolerate the smell. Not sure how I’m going to air out these new mats. New car smell and mats are going to be overwhelming.
Have you tried an air ionizer for autos? I have never used a portable one but did use one from the office in a car I bought that was smoked in and it totally eliminated the smell.
Shouldn't be overwhelming if you follow a few tips: keep the windows cracked when possible. And whenever you first get into the car, roll all the windows down to refresh the cabin. When you're going on a trip longer than 15 mins or so, you'll want to roll the back windows all the way down for 5 seconds and then back up. You'll have a fresh cabin again. I only had to do this for a few weeks. Now the buildup of gases is MUCH slower to nonexistent. And remember, I got my car with 4 miles on it. It literally just came off the boat-train-truck - with only two weeks from production to off-gas the plastics/glue/whatever.
The OEM prices for both carpeted and all-weather total $339 so makes me think both are included. If not I will say something about it. It's a ridiculous mark-up to begin with.
I wanted summer (carpet) also I ordered factory carpet mats #pt919-47235-20 for $119.68 bochToyotasouth.com save me big money!
There are four mat options in total: Carpet mats: $179 (PT919-47235-20) All-weather liners: $179 (PT908-47230-20) Carpet cargo mat: $120 (LE: PT919-47231-20, all others: PT919-47231-20?) All-weather cargo liner: $120 (LE: PT908-47236-20, all others: PT908-47235-20) If you're buying a Prius with a $299 mat or liner option, you're getting the 4 mats/liners plus the cargo mat/liner($179+$120=$299). A price of $339 makes me think it's the combo plus a $40 dealer markup. I'd need to see the window sticker to be sure. samsprius1's price of $119.68 is for just the four passenger mats(no cargo mat), so it's a $60 savings over MSRP. (Though it's probably a little less than that once shipping and tax are included.)
I’m still trying to figure out what configuration gives you carpet attached to the back of the rear seats. Maybe it’s regional.
There's no regional or optional thing about the back of the rear seats. You get what you get. There are a grand total of 10 rear seat covers in total in the USA Prius family. Black Cloth - LE Gray Cloth - LE Black Softex - XLE/LTD Gray Softex - XLE/LTD Black Softex w/heat - LTD option Gray Softex w/heat - LTD option Black Cloth - SE Black Softex - XSE/XSE+ Black Softex w/heat - XSE+ option So it's possible the rear fabric on the LE is lower grade than on the XLE and LTD. That's it. I find it highly unlikely the material is different between the heated and non-heated options. And the Prime versions are likely the same as the HEV options, just a slightly different color/pattern on the front side. Unless someone velcros something extra to the back of the seat like they do the all-weather liner panels, the only possible real difference between the rear seat backs is between the LE/SE and the rest.
Thanks for spelling these details out for those who might need them. I’m aware of the different seat cover options on the different models. Someone responded a couple of weeks ago that the back side of their rear seats has carpeting that matches their carpet floor mats like I have in my 2009. There could be a misunderstanding. I believe they received a Prius with carpet mats and also added the all weather mats. When the member has time they will be taking a photo. I mentioned possibly regional because a local dealer said they rarely see the carpeted option on New England allocation lists. Thanks again.
