2006 Prius - A/C Help: Air not blowing cold. My MFD Digitizer is not working. I am only able to control the air from my steering wheel (Auto and Temp). My Front/Back defroster button is not working ( is this normal). When I put the air to low ( lo temp). I don’t get cold air - just hi air blowing. However when I put the temp to HI ( temp) I get heat (no hi fan). All the setting are Auto A/C ( display touch is not working). I checked the refrigerant gauge/glass under the hood an don’t see anything when I have the car on Lo Temp ( Auto). I see a lot of people on YouTube say put it to MAX Cold , however I don’t see that - all I have is “lo” and then the fan is on HI - again all auto. Want to get my air working - it hot here. Lol Thanks for all the suggestions and help. New prius owner here.

I Dont hear the compressor coming on at all - even when I turn the temp ok low and fan on high

    I would figure I would hear a sound - but I didn’t hear anything.

I Dont hear a sound. So no machine gun sound.

Nooo it should sound a lot like electric motor that's very whiney . Like some older electric motors would sound like when they're getting ready to fail but these sound like that all the time. The variable speed unless you're really paying attention you can't even really notice it that much until it's running so fast it's about to lose its stability.
