The seal is broken and is creating excessive noise at highway speed. Where can I buy the replacement? Or is there something else recommended to replace it?
Least expensive way is to pull one off a wrecked Prius... And if you're skilled enough to do the install, standard weatherstripping like this would work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/195366721724
They'd probably tell you that you have to replace the entire sunroof for $3K, but you'd be better off financing a new car on their lot that's not a hybrid because there's a waiting list for hybrids.
I had replaced already by myself the deflector assembly already, since it cost $800+ just the part. The ebay stuff, I had already considered it, but if someone already did it and worked fine I would be glad to hear the lessons learned.
Dealer is not sure about what part number is... they indicated that on the computer it is likely the 75533-47050 but they are not sure... I found the part with a picture on the following ebay post: https://www.ebay.com/itm/225780763215?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ueEBmwGiSWi&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY but it is not clear if that is the correct part.
Still not getting the part, the one mentioned by dealer is the normal windshield seal. I took off the damaged part, and it's like F shaped rubber.. tried the h shaped part from Amazon but didn't work. "AUTOXBERT 4M/13Ft Car Weather Stripping H Type Rubber Sealing Strip Trim Cover Automotive Front Windshield Sealing Strip Trim for Car Front Rear Windshield Sunroof Weatherstrip" I just placed 3 lines of black vinyl tape (electrical tape) to cover that section.
I'm looking for exactly the same trim piece, dealer guy had no idea which part it is, tried selling me trim molding under the sunroof, side molding, windshield molding, they truly have no idea how to get this only trim piece, between top windshield and deflector,
