Gas gauge read zero, 2gal left in tank (limited trim)

2010 Prius here... Waiting for a 2024 Prime... I have the same result. 0 mi to empty is about 2 gal left. For my Prius on trips I calculate gas stops near 0 mi left. Though I've had 14 years of history on that action. Prius has lots of range after 0 mi to empty.

PS. Other car is a Jeep Cherokee and it has 14.9gal tank. NEVER let it get to 0mi (though it doesn't say it. Display of miles to empty changes to "Low Fuel" at less than 40miles). Once forgot and drove effectively to 0 miles and filled gas tank with 15 gal! 14.9gal spec?? Not as good of a feeling as the Prius.
