Toyota showcases new generation battery electric technologies with FT-3e concept Toyota Sport Crossover Concept previews new battery electric model for Europe Toyota unveils Urban SUV Concept, previewing a new electric compact SUV for Europe
Wasn’t the Gen 4’s tagline “Start Your Impossible”? Might throw that back at Toyota. Also, US needs to get their act together. The lack of a solid plan is holding back the manufacturers. That’s why China and Europe are getting first dibs for EV models. That and because of the sparser charging network (the US is a very large country after all), the need for larger battery packs and longer range is hindering cost competitiveness. If Toyota can somehow bring their EV with the BYD Blade battery and it proves itself to be reliable (without having to have Toyota’s ultra conservative battery management seen on the bZ4X), we could have ourselves a competition.
