Which battery starts the 2010 level IV? 12V or 200V?

    Which battery starts the 2010 level IV? 12V or 200V?
    I bought a 2010 recently and was told that the hybrid battry was bad and the car sat unused for 2 years. I used 12 volt jumper cables and the car started. For some reason, I was thinking that the starter gets power from the hybrid battery.
    And, I believe that after 2 years, the hybrid battery would be totally ruined. Would it?

    HV battery it's nothing for them to sit 24 months provide good 12V and start right up. But it's the 211 Volt battery that allows the electrics to start the ICE.

    The hybrid battery is pretty tough. The 12v isn't quite so tough, but it is tough.
    You should put a 4-5 amp agm charger on the 12v battery for 8-12 hours to give it
    a full charge and give it a chance to live longer.

    The 12v starts up the computers, and if all is correct, the computer trips the relays for
    the hybrid battery it and takes over, well the inverter does.
    And the hybrid battery turns the engine over to start the engine.

    If you drive the car and "use" teh hybrid battery, you'll likely be okay.
    You can run a test on it and see what it says.
