I replaced my hybrid battery with a green bean battery in December 2023. The dash has a warning warning hybrid battery cooling performance low. In February, I can hear the hybrid battery fan always on high speed, very loud. I clean out the the hybrid fan. Using the app Dr. Prius, it shows that the battery temperature is high. Is there a problem with the hybrid battery?
You may need to dig deeper. There could still be blockage in the battery cooling setup. You may need to disassemble the ductwork to check more thoroughly. Can you feel warmth on the air discharge tube on the passenger side? It's the plastic tube that runs behind the 12v battery. If that tube is not getting warm, then there's something keeping the air from moving through.
I asked if green bean they can send a technician to inspect the hybrid battery for proper installation. Their response, I need to show a fault code before they will do anything.
Did you tell the person from greenbean what you told us above? What are we missing here? Did greenbean install the pack or did someone else?
