Hi. I replaced my door control receiver but it won't communicate with my old fobs. I open the doors manually and drive with the fob in the slot.( The batteries are new and I am aware of the button under the steering wheel.) Do I have to pay hundreds to a Toyota dealer to fix this? It's a 2008 prius and I bought the receiver online.
Was the SKS behaving normally before you replaced the door receiver? What made you want to replace the door receiver? These very rarely fail. Is the (disable SKS) button under the steering wheel pressed in? Pressed in is disabled. The button should be in the "out" position.
What is the part number on your receiver and where is it located in the car? I am not familiar with the term "door control receiver". Toyota can be difficult when it comes to naming parts - things seem to be translated differently in various sections of the service manual. What was the car doing before you replaced the receiver?
