Clips on Hybrid Battery

Saw a tik-tok video that showed that you simply put the right size socket wrench socket on the back side, which pushes the clips in and then it pops right out!

 

I use something very similar to those panel pliers but instead of squeezing and the pliers lifting up on the clip mine is just a v on the end and you try to get it where it grabs the little pieces that are springing outward to hold into the oval shaped hole and then lift up with your hand I pull those right out by hand generally speaking without damaging the clit very much and they go right back in like the one on the wiper tray of my generation too it's the exact same color and everything I just grab it and pull on that whole wire loom and it lifts right off the oblong hole which is in metal and lays there until I stick it back in the hole I've had my wiper tray out on one or two of these generation twos like 10 times so that's 10 times in and out still holding no problem I mean these things don't really have any tension on them that's just to keep the wires and everything going nicely nothing should be pulling on them with the battery just sitting there ready to go.

 

Yeah I get that usually like I say I just I just twist them with my hand a little bit not turn them completely 90° and they're oval hole Just maybe 10° left or right and then snatch it up and when I put them back in they go right back where they're supposed to be and they stay I don't glue them goop them nothing but I don't know That's just how it works I don't have a camry here to go out and try. Mine are non-hybrids

 

Yea, I just always have lots of spares... It's takes way less time to destroy them and then replace them. There's Toyota fastener kits online for like $10. You'll have more fasteners than you'll ever need that way.

When you go on eBay or Amazon and look for Toyota panel clips you'll see boxes of anywhere from 50 to 200 pieces they're included with these kits usually if you look in the about of the fastener kit you're looking at it'll show each fastener in great detail the big picture with measurements of all 20 or 30 of the fasteners there will be plenty there's many boxes mini sellers many amounts you can buy I buy around the $20 mark and get a plastic case with 10 or 12 compartments with 10 or 12 of each of the clips a few of them I've bought $30 thingies with 200 pieces I have them all around here in containers the various fasteners that is
