I've recently purchased my 2nd prius, a 2006 classic, but I'm having problems with the hvac blend door. It won't stop blowing to the face vents, barely blows to the floor when selected and won't blow to the windscreen I'm guessing it's the actuator but which one? I've read there are 2 under the right side and one on the left but the sources in finding are giving different suggestions for the location of the problematic actuator. The lower left actuator seems to only move on half the raceway. I don't see much movement on the upper, and I haven't put eyes on the third on the right. Any help would be appreciated.

The lower actuator on the left side of the HVAC housing is for temperature control (aka the air mix or blend door control).

The upper actuator is for air outlet control (mode control, or dash, heater or defrost vents).

That third actuator is for the air inlet door - fresh air or recirculation.

FYI, all 3 should move the linkage lever about 90 degrees full travel.

Appreciate the assist! The upper actuator is most likely the issue it sounds. Is there a way to replace it without disassembly of the dash? Or is that the easiest way? There seems to be a control module of some sort in the way atm
