    Hi all,

I want to install a new inner fender liner for a 2005 prius. I have the liner but am not certain what push pins to buy. Could someone please provide the dimensions?

    Thank you!

Doesn't say where you are in your profile if you were in the southeast and around North Carolina I could help you out I got plenty If you order the $12 box I would get the $22 box Toyota designated clips and pins you will have enough to do your fender liner and you'll have clips left over for other parts of the car it's a smart purchase basically If you go to dorman at advance Auto say you're going to have to buy three boxes or four boxes of nonsense got $7 a box The box of pins and clips on Amazon or wherever you get them is a generally a good buy because you're going to be using them they're going to break when you take apart other things to do other things to the car some people just leave some of this plastic off I do if it's under the car on top of the car and on the car I keep it so new pins and clips

Somebody really on top of their game would just go to the other side fender well if there's a line or there and remove one or two of the clips lift the head up withdrawal the clip or pin and then you have one to match up if you're going to go the dorman auto parts store route somebody will be along in a minute with the numbers but it's just as fast I've already be there matching them up and getting what I need I think you going to need six but I don't quote me on that I have boxes full of them so I don't usually count them

I'm in western US. Can you please tell me the dimensions? Is it an 8mm hole on the frame?

Here's a parts breakdown. If you're super picky you could get them all from the Toyota dealer. You might have to wait a day or two.

Most auto parts stores have something that works good enough. Like Tom said, grab one the clips off of the other side.

I'm not actually positive on the size of hole as when it gets light out I'll go out and measure one and measure one of the myriad of retainers that I use better direct copies of the Toyota retainers that they sell at the dealer and companies like dorman products make they have these at advance Auto in an orange and black rack that says dorman products or fasteners on it they'll be some various size bolts and a lot of plastic marked Toyota Nissan Chrysler etc obviously we're looking for the Toyota section of the rack and there you will see boxes of three and four of these types of retainers there's also two different sizes one much skinnier than the other If you get the skinny ones they won't lock into the holes and won't seat correctly and everything will be flapping me personally I like to use the fuzzy stalks they are the things that look like they have Velcro on them they'll fit in several sizes of hole once they push in they require a v-shaped tool to get behind the head and pull them out there in there so good I personally don't like the ones that you have to use a little awl or pin or fingernail to lift up the push-in part and then withdraw the whole piece through the hold and through the piece of your mounting I just have never liked those so I tend to use the fuzzy stalks more they're all so easier to get and cost a lot less.
