I can link ELM 327 with the 2012 Prius and get the usual information. I can't pair up the Nexas OBD2 interface with the Dr. Prius app. It says the connection has timed out. I sent Nexas an email 11/27/2024 and am waiting for a response. I can use the Nexas on a 2001 GMC Savana van, and it gets the usual information, so the unit is functioning. I've tried it with an IPAD and an android phone with the Dr. Prius app installed. Why won't it connect to the Dr. Prius app? Thanks Ron
If or when your get a response from the manufacturer I think the first question they'll ask you is what code you entered when you paired the device to the prius. cheers
Yeah right, the device pairs to your phone, might have to re pair the device to your phone after moving it from you're other vehicle. Or you may also need to disconnect the app you're using in your other vehicle before DrPrius can access the device. With mine phone and odb2 adapter and the car scanner app connected to the car, I have to disconnect the car scanner app from the odb2 adapter, before either Hybrid Assistant or DrPrius can connect to the adapter.
I tried pairing the Nexas obd2 to the prius first. Only tried other vehicles when the Dr. Prius app would not link up.so there was no other car to remove. I'll try clearing the android information and try again.
The prius has a lot of sensors and other controllers not found in regular gas engine cars. If you still can't connect to DrPrius after clearing the bluetooth settings and repairing your adapter to your phone, go to the web page Dr. Prius App and read the page " ODB2 to buy" (see the menu across the Top of the web page) in case you have one of the adapters that can't read all the prius ( Can Bus ) data . Jack lists both adapters he knows to work with DrPrius as well as adapters he knows don't work with Prius and DrPrius app.
