    Hello,

I have a 2007 Touring model that needs new suspension strut and coil spring assemblies and am having some trouble confirming whether the parts that I have found will fit the Touring model. I have read that the Base and Touring have different suspensions and didn’t want to accidentally order the wrong thing.

These supposedly fit the base model, but would they fit on a Touring model too? I see mixed information on various websites.

    KYB SR4224 front left
    KYB SR 4223 front right
    KYB SR4514 rear left
    KYB SE4513 rear right

The shop wants ~$3200 to replace and re-align all four shocks/struts. I’m not sure what brand they would use but that seems insanely high to me so I am considering buying the parts myself and taking it somewhere else.

    Thank you!

Perhaps $3200 is a bit expensive.

How much did it cost to buy four?

! You must have got it wrong: KYB SE4513 rear right
    It should be KYB SR4513

Good Lord man I didn't even look to see where you are as people are kind of weird about putting that in their profile that is completely insane That's generally 45 minutes aside even though you have to pull the panels in the trunk or fold them in for a minute to get the bolts undone 3200 plus an alignment Is that including they purchasing the struts. And I don't think much is happening If it fits the base it'll fit the touring there's no difference in really the weight of the car or the corners or any of that I don't think the cars any lower or higher but hey I would think KYB in any big strut or shock maker would know all this information and would know what they're making KYBs are pretty good company as is the German companies that make shocks and the struts and all of that I wouldn't think it would be their business to screw it up and then of course spring selection could be a personal choice and what have you I got rid of the variable rate springs on my generation two and have single rate springs on the front struts and they were made that way I bought them that way from a supplier and they were cheapest also. I know that others have posted here about different markings on the various struts and all that but seems to be year model thing more than trim level it seems to me because my cars are predominantly the generation 2 series 2 '06 to '09 and the purple and silver and what not markings seem to follow those years I don't have a lot of '04 and fives. For that kind of money you're spending you're going to be in this car you think for near life I mean it just doesn't seem you need to spend that kind of money but you know whatever you think is best for your vehicle man.
