Clock brightness either full or dim, nothing in between

    In our 2007 the clock brightness is either full (headlights off) or dim (headlights on). When the headlights are on and the brightness thumb wheel is turned the rest of the dash lights go up or down, but the clock stays dim.

    Normal?

    The dash was apart a few times when the dealer was fixing the AC. Once to replace the evaporator, and again to hook up the ventilation actuator they forgot to plug in. So maybe they left some connector off for the clock?

    Yes. The clock only has two modes - bright and dim.

    It should go bright when the thumb wheel is clicked all the way bright, though.
