I worked in a pizza joint as a yout for the better part of a year and again for 3 months in the Charleston area (IOP) and I NEVER ONCE made or delivered a pizza with fish on it - or pineapples, although the former was on offer as an option.

I can respect if not completely understand putting seafood on a pizza, but I live east of the Rockies, in a small Southern town and I attend a local Protestant church.
Pineapples are a HARD no-go for me.

It would be like ordering hummus with ham in the Middle East.

LOL! I was a PFC and worked in a pizza joint before the "big pay raise." That was the only way I could afford to buy frozen fish at the PX for some quality protein. That pay raise was the start of going from Draft to All Volunteer and we could all quit our side jobs.

Agree that pineapple needs to be in yogurt, not pizza. But anchovies are another type of flavored salt. In small bits (NOT COOKED IN), compliments the flavors a "works" pizza. I also like sparse anchovies on a Caesar salad.

At home, I keep canned fish, sardines, salmon, smoked oysters, some smoked sardines, and a few tins of anchovies. When I want a protein boost, they are a quick fix.

When I was a kid, there was anchovy paste around the kitchen, to squeeze out of a tube.

It still exists but I've not tried it. Flat and rolled anchovies work best for me.

BTW, the lemon juice is probably cheaper because they don't have to ship the lemon peel and pulp.

hard to imagine. There are other processes done to OJ as well. We've had many an orange tree over the decades. When you squeeze your own OJ, you better down it quick. It goes sour, on short order unlike the stuff treated commercially. Very strange. My sister and I just sold mom's place in SoCal and the new owners will undoubtedly love love some of those monster sized navles that end up dropping on the ground with over abundance.

This is what I have to be careful about:

I don't want my foods "enhanced" with sugar. This is the type of lemon juice I want:
