Having replaced the pump and incorrectly connected the power supply to MG1 and MG2, did you supply power?
Then most likely you really have a big problem with replacing the hybrid unit.

P0A08 is a code about the 12-volt status circuit between the DC/DC converter and the power management control ECU.

I would suggest taking a deep, calming breath, re-checking all the connections again, and if the code persists, turning to the first page of the 23 pages of troubleshooting steps for P0A08 in the repair manual.

The two plugs are easily reversible, ugh.

That genuinely surprises me. I remember them being radically different shapes in gen 1 ....

The harness lengths are quite different, but maybe harder to judge who’s who if the clips off.

The foolproof protection in the first generation still worked.

Repair Manual inverter install instruction has NO caution, mention of match-marks or whatever, an editorial fail:

    (Full pdf excerpt attached)

Talk about a cautionary tale. Think I’ll put some labels on mine, for if-and-when I do the $%*# inverter water pump replacement.

I looked. The attachment points are slightly different. There is a small protrusion.

The question is whether there is enough strength to put it back in place, mixing up the wire harnesses from MG1 and MG2 and their attachment points.
