    Hey!

I'm looking to change my rotors and pads for my prius gen 2, I have never done something like this before and looking for any advise, tips, tricks, links or videos you might have.

Some of my biggest questions are:
    - Is there any special procedure for the Gen 2 or its the same for all cars (or) all Toyota cars?
(Because I found a lot of videos on how to do it generally on YT but few to almost none of people working on a gen 2)

    - Is it possible to do it myself safely or just pay the 45% markup fee to a mechanic for labour?
I have access to almost all the tools I (might) need including a torque wrench...

    - I got a decent price no Bosch rotors and pads, or would you recommend some other company?

    - Should bleeding of the blake fluid/s also be done?

Feel free to drop any advise on stuff I missed above, I'm a noob and willing to learn :)

    Thanks!

If you just replace pads and/or rotors and never open the hydraulic lines letting air in, there's no bleeding needed.

You need to be aware of the car sensing the sks key nearby and pressurizing the brakes. If this happens with your caliper off it'll possibly turn this simple project into a techstream bleed procedure. Some people keep the key out of range when doing a brake job, others just disconnect the 12v. The latter is safer
