This is the second time I’ve had a large red square warning light pop up on my dash screen. It takes up almost the entire left side of the screen. Happened a while ago and I thought it was just a glitch but it just happened again. It says something but it turns off too quickly for me to read it. Of course I took my manual out of the car to read about the AC and can’t look it up. Just curious if anyone is familiar with this. Googling was NOT a good idea. : } It just flashes on and then disappears. Thanks
This happened on a road I travel often. No one in front of me and no one coming towards me. It seems crazy that it would flash such a large warning so quickly that it can’t be read.
slight curve with a car in a turn lane is where the Subaru has falsely alerted to something in front. The warnings and exceptions in the Toyota manual for these systems is probably longer than the about part.
Thanks for correcting my spelling. I’m often voice typing and don’t catch every mistake. If that warning is for braking or avoiding a collision the sensors are quite confused.
Maybe, maybe not. There are already threads about this such as this: Gen5 Prime suffers from phantom brake syndrome. | PriusChat
My 'sub-battery system malfunction visit your dealer message similarly popped up and disappeared'. I keep my phone mounted on the dash so was able to record a video. You could keep your phone camera app open and ready so if happens again you can grab a photo.
That sounds like a temporary voltage glitch in the 12-V system, with the DC–DC converter voltage dropping too much due to a high-current demand such as when using the electric power steering all the way to the stops etc. Usually, the system will raise the voltage to 14.3 V to prevent that from happening during high electric loads. You can ignore it unless it becomes a permanent message.
I did ignore first happened in April. Both times it happened while using dynamic cruise control which abruptly turned off. First time soon after it happened I pulled over turned the car off and back on again and the message went away. When it happened another time in May the dealer ended up calling me right after it happened and set up an appointment. They replaced the INTEGRATION CONTROL SUPPLY under warranty.
