Would my co-members share the price they paid for a Gen 5 Limited AWD? Ideally, I am looking at a 2025 Limited All Wheel Drive, with Wind Chill white premium paint (@625), with the advanced parking/ digital mirror/ heated rear seat (@1435) options. How much off MSRP did you get? That is my true question. FYI Asking to help with my negotiating or ordering a Gen 5. Yes, in Calif, near 10% is added for tax, DMV, to get OTD (Out The Door). June 2025 Have a great day everyone.
FYIT, was at the local Toyo dealer here in Boise last week kicking tires on a 2025 Limited AWD, blue with technology package and digital rear view mirror. Parking lot price was $38.5K. Figured that price would rise $1K to $2K the closer one got to the salesman’s desk.
OTD price is going to vary from state and county and no dealership will negotiate that way, unless there's a FAT profit built into that sale. You may be able to get away with that on a used car, same factors apply. New car sales is two fold, negotiated price and then financing add-ons; where they raise the price even higher and hide it in the finance cost of the car - 'it's only a few more dollars a month'. Since your pretty specific on what you want, I doubt that car exists on a dealership lot; where you'll have negotiation powers. I'd start with your local Costco or Sam's Club car buying options. That'll get you a base price or negotiation starting point; usually $500 over dealership/invoice cost. Good Luck..... If your a push-over; no negotiation skills, hire someone for a few hundred bucks or go the club route. At least you know you didn't get the screw......
Toyota Prius—Build & price your new Toyota—TrueCar The average current price at your location is $569 below MSRP.
LOL some funny responses above. Internet AI says, including "hold back" $2.5-4K is possible. $2.5 is local dealer offer MSRP, from inventory stock. I asked because I curious for "actual" experiences. FWIW Here is something shocking, Insurance costs...apples to apples 2025 Prius Limited AWD $2.1K vs. 2021 Corvette Convertible $2.3K annual costs.
The TrueCar link I posted answers your question to the full extent, as it shows every single exact price (well, a histogram of it) paid by the actual buyers for the particular car you want in your area.
IMHO; Ya can't negotiate an additional 2.5K discount if the car isn't on the lot!! It's been more than a decade since I've done that - ONLY works on slow moving overstocked cars. These cars are a hot commodity, you may be able to work a deal with a FWD model that's on the lot - but don't expect an extraordinary discount. Now I've heard that they're having a hard time moving new F150's
They've also be caught citing sources that don't exist. They're self taught by the internet and we ALL know that if it's on the internet it MUST be true!!!! See; I told you that I was dumber than most.....
