Maybe it's not appropriate to combine obits here. Bill Moyers has died aged 91. Very well known as a journalist and observer of America. Lalo Schifrin has died aged 93. Apparently well known only for composing 'Mission Impossible' in 1966 that tagged along with MI became movies. He wrote other movie themes but as a musician there was a lot more to his mission. Orchestral conductor and composer. He wrote an opera in Nahuatl and studied with Olivier Messiaen!
Heard about Bill from state funded media. He was one of the good ones. I've one of his books in my audiobook library....
I don't think I know anything by Schifrin. Did get to sing Messaien's O sacrum convivium years ago. (That isn't us.)
Well, it's four parts. I was in a roughly 16-voice group, so ~ 4 on a part. The group in the above 'tube looks to be about 5 on a part. Edit: ah. I see he designed it for either chœur à quatre voix mixtes ou quatre solistes. We did not attempt it with quatre solistes. We also didn't use an orgue.
Ya I watched another not on youtube. We don't have that here w/o vpn. Since have viewed other versions on bilibili (which is the low-friction video viewer here).
