New to me 2021 Prius Prime XLE
Plug in 110 charger says/takes 8.5 hrs (should be 5.5)
    New 220 charger says/takes 5 hrs (should be 2)
Otherwise running great and gets full 25mi on charge.
    What to do???
    Thanks

Go into your vehicle settings on the dash touchscreen and see what charge current is selected. There's an 8A and 16A setting (and maybe a max setting). Sounds like a lower charge setting is selected. We charge our Gen4 at 8A/120VAC to be as gentle on the battery as possible.

Someone probably set the car to not exceed 8A while charging. Check your settings

FWIW; my battery only takes 4.5-5.0 hrs. on 120VAC to recharge for my morning commute.

How do you know charging at lower amperage is better for battery?

Found charge settings of "8amp and Max" (16amp I believe)

Also read several places that lower amp charging is better for long term battery health (less heat), so since this car already has 120k and I'm going "long" on this car I'll keep it at 8amp and bump it up occasionally if needed.
