hey guys new to the prius world. i got a 2008 104k miles i bought a month ago. i just recently used a techron high mileage fuel cleaner and ever since i used it? it seems like my prius cycles a bit more erratically as well as more often cycles. i also can see i get more green bars alot more even while driving uphill does anyone know why or has this happened to anyone else? did i mess up my prius? its kind of getting on my nerves. my prius does not burn oil either
One bottle of Techron is unlikely to screw anything up. If you have only owned the car for a month how do you know it doesn't burn oil? Mine does, a little, but I would have to drive it a lot to see the difference in one month - like a thousand miles, and even then only if it was parked in exactly the same spot and measured both times after sitting unused over night.
I've used Techron concentrate for years on both my Gen 2 & 3. Even more than recommended. Never had a problem. Had 225K miles on the Gen 2 and currently 175K miles on the Gen 3. Some might say i'm wasting money but that's OK.
