Spotting thread! Did you see any special cars on the road today?

For a Wednesday evening, I was surprised to see an abundance of weekend cars in the heavy San Diego-bound traffic (my town gets hit hard because there is only one road to the I-15). Mustangs, Challengers, a Corvette, some small stuff like GR Corollas and Miatas, a few Porsche 911's, and an astounding amount of sporty Beemers all over the place, maybe one for every five cars. Mind you all in the span of my 40 minute drive.

 

The route from my dentist to work passes many various car shops, so I could see an assortment of classics and uncommon models. The VW pick up van I mentioned earlier lives at one. Thought I saw a Volvo Amazon yesterday, but the rear fenders and lights were contoured into the body.

The lots are all on the opposite side of the road. Making a quick stop for a look not possible.

Today so far: a Gen 1 Prius, a clean BMW M5, a brand new Lexus LC500, and a minty Nissan 240Z with what sounded like an LS swap.

 

ID Buzz went by us on the highway today. mrs b and i both liked it.
