"Recommended Services" and costs by Toyota service center ?

This is preventive, my sister didn't tow or drive under extreme conditions either. It's a bone stock car that gets loaded up for camping trips once or twice a year; yet she has an intermittent slip every once in a while for about 2-3 seconds.

 

PS: That brake resurfacing thing is a new one... With the amount of regenerative braking ability your car has they were probably cleaning them up from lack of use. Maybe they used a buffer on 'em and charged you $40 for a squirt of polishing compound?

 

If you replace wipers yourself, and take the blades off in the process, place a rolled up towel on the windshield, where the loose arms would thwack down.

I’d second transaxle fluid change.
