a one way street. two lanes, one each way, a two lane road. two lanes each way, we don't have a name. same with 3 lanes.
Like this? Two-lane expressway - Wikipedia or https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/two-lane or https://apps.roads.maryland.gov/businesswithsha/bizstdsspecs/desmanualstdpub/publicationsonline/ohd/bookstd/pdf/MD-104.01-01.pdf
I get that a lot. Sometimes it's tailgating, and sometimes it very aggressive use of the horn for no reason, but I know I'll have the last laugh at the gas pump.
never heard of a two lane expressway or freeway, i'm not sure there's anything official about those definitions
i always keep up with the flow and 95% of the time i don't get any hate. When i do get the pre disposed 5% behind, i switch to EV sport mode in my Prime and every time they stop inches from my rear bumper on stop lights i jack rabbit from the stop out of range and put cars between us. Usually after the 3rd stop they realize they can't keep up and give up. interestingly, the worse hate i got was someone i picked up from the airport during snow. As soon as she sat in my Prius she started with "interesting choice of vehicle on a snow storm" followed by you should be driving a pickup truck etc and kept low level insulting the rest of the trip. I just kept civil and polite because all that evil was a reflection of her not on me.
lol yeah, it was just one of those weird thing that felt like it came from one of those dark night Twilight Zone episodes (if you're old enough to have watched those) that up to this day still leaves me scratching my head hahaha.
Or your route choice. Folks get on Google maps and start explaining how i could get there 5 minutes faster by such and such. I tell them how I’m going (my usual, reliable and familiar route), shut it down. I’m not an effing cab, the price is right, lol.
Agree. But to be fair she was referring how low the Prius was and how we had to ram thru the unplowed snow. I just got off from work so explained the Prius was my daily driver and i'd rather put up with the occasional challenges so i can drive a fuel efficient car the rest of the year. She was from the opposite camp where you drive a truck for the rare occasions and couldn't see the other side. It's all just preference really and depending on life experiences i know i could be dumb enough to choose either side so i couldn't hate either.
Here in the south, if the snow is that deep it is usually wise to stay off the roads anyway, People down here do not know how to drive in snow. It is usually plowed or melted in a day or 2 anyway. That is one time where working from home is a blessing.
The DOE is an abject failure. Under the DOE the USA has gone from #1 in education to not even in the top 30. But you can be assured the kids have all been educated on gender issues and they all got their participation trophies for doing nothing .
The federal DoE has made the teachers unisons and state officials rich. Constitutionally the federal government is not supposed to be involved in education. It is a local and state issue.
The Prius stigma is real. Partly caused by the hyper milers driving slow in the fast lane, and just the in general hate for someone who espouses concern for the environment. One thing that helps is an NRA or thin blue line flag for a bumper sticker. You can also drive a CT200h. And I agree with the stigma if you are not staying to the right when someone is going faster than you. Or if you are going the speed of the yellow suggested speed signs on a winding road. Those are not speed limit signs, they are for big trucks and the worst handling production vehicles. A modern vehicle can easily add 20 mph.
