I’m a new user of the Dr. Prius app. Today I bought a Veepeak OBD2 adapter and successfully paired it with the app. The home screen loads correctly and shows the battery bar charts.

However, I’m unable to start the Life Expectancy Test or the Full Battery Test. The test stays stuck at Step 1 at 0%, even after following all the instructions. I pressed the accelerator and brake at the same time as instructed, but the test does not progress.

After waiting for a while, I noticed that the battery percentage on the home dashboard increased from 62% to 72%, which suggests the battery is charging and the app is reading data correctly.

Can anyone help explain why the test isn’t starting or what I might be doing wrong?

I have the exact same problem, but if I go for a long drive when ambient temperatures are warm, I can get the full battery test to complete. It still complains that my battery is too cold (which is not true). I don't see how after driving continuously for two hours, the battery temperature could be 77F. Perhaps something has gone wrong with the temperature sensors on the modules.

Like you, I am also unable to complete the life expectancy test. I have contacted Dr. Prius many times and I have messaged @jacktheripper on here who owns Dr. Prius app, but I have never received much help from either. I know my battery is on its last legs and it needs to be reconditioned. But I kind of feel cheated after paying $13.99 for the app. The fact is Dr. Prius leaves a lot to be desired and it's certainly not optimized for various battery conditions.

So long story short, you aren't doing anything wrong. What you need to do is test and recondition the battery modules and replace bad ones. There are a ton of youtube videos and info on this forum which can help you a great deal. Let us know if you have specific questions.

    Hi @Hbk89

Is there any existing error code? some battery error code limit the charge/discharge of the battery and therefore you won't be able to finish the test. Also, feel free to post some screenshots here or email them to me at [email protected] for further assistant.

    Best Regards,
    Jack
