    It's just a pop-up ad. A commercial. Get a better ad blocker.

There's been lots of changes with ad sales / revenue for Danny in recent years... The amount of ads without an ad blocker is insane at this point. But I'm okay with Danny making as much money as he can with ad revenue as long as ad block still works and we don't have to pay monthly fee for use, then it's acceptable.

Though I am kind of bummed that our signature lines and their links are no longer visible to people who aren't logged in with a profile. I haven't sold a single thing with my affiliate links since 2024 and the elimination of signatures coincided with a massive amount of new ads.

well over a decade ago, I was present when someone here ask Danny how the income streams are & the comment was that merch was more profitable than the site. With it being so hard to get stuff out in a timely matter much less feedback on, "where's-my-stuff" , I guess those ads are now the main thing bringing in money nowadays.
I used to sell really cool Prius chat.com stickers in the original Dodger font, and it was faster and simpler just to find my own source & and make it into a do-it-yourself project.

I’d rather pay a monthly fee, it’s good clean fun

Yea right... Try turning your adblocker, pop-up blocker and spyware settings off on your computer and have a look at the adpocalypse hellscape that this website has turned into. I mean, I'm happy for Danny making money off such an important website, but you really don't want to see how the sausage is made.

Danny said angry customers took all the fun out of selling merch...

Then the website was running on a really old Apple Desktop machine and couldn't be upgraded to point of the website constantly going off-line. It took a long time, but Danny finally got the website running on a fully updated server with fully updated software and that's when the flood gates opened to lots of different types of ad revenue.

I guess no one uses the PC app?
