So i tried to get a spare key i ordered off amazon... TLDR i got it to work on the ignition but i cannot get it to work on the door locks (the car recognizes me pressing buttons but does the double lock refusal) Ive tried at least 20 times.

Regardless THE ISSUE is my original key that worked FINE in every way before this (still works with the locks and plugged into ignition but no smart functions) stopped working wirelessly after i pressed the smart key button by my knee on and off.

How do i get the smart key function back? its my only fob working the door locks at the moment so i am worried that ill make the situation even worse.

Original Key: Works remote door locks and ignition slot
Amazon key: Works only in ignition slot

If you were able to scan you're immo functions you'd see the issue .the lil chip isn't talking to car . Electronic locksmith needed . He will have the tools to scan your imo and read all remotes id4 info some of it don't match and limited functions

Yes i made sure to get the "silver logo" with the mezg103 code (whatever it is)

Ive checked 10 times that i ordered the right one i guess i just got scammed for 66$ (4 stars 2,900 reviews, figured it was worth a shot) id be fine with it JUST doing the ignition and cutting the key to get in the door for emergency's. But...

The big problem is during this my original key lost its SKS function, and that bothers me a LOT as it is falling apart and really needs this cover to hold it together (aka wont fit in the slot)

I cant find any method to reprogram the only key you have to SKS again, its really weird that it dropped off just because i touched the button.... im worried it loses more functionality if i keep messing with it.

That 'Key' button is the SKS disable switch. You press it in to disable SKS. You toggle it out to re-enable SKS. It sounds like the button is still in, even though you say, "pressed the [...] key button by my knee on and off." I would check again to ensure the 'Key' button is definitely in the 'Out' position.

I get it so the remote you ordered would not fit in slot ? That's not good . Pics would be great. So the new case is not being used? You know we're original coffin chip is ? Did new remote have one???

Yes i have certainly made sure the button is in the out position. I have tried it in and out dozens of times. Possible it broke when i pressed it, but unlikely.

The amazon fob fits into the slot, and will start the car when inserted. Amazon will not remote unlock the doors with the push button now. Neither key will function with the smart features (the original key did before i tried to program the new key)

We can totally ignore the 2nd key at this point, pretend i only have the one. Is it possible to get my key to work with the SkS function again? (it has worked previous so i know it has what it needs)

I seem to remember there was a recent post when you do a sequence that reawakens the SKS, but cannot give more info at this time. I would have to do a google search with the prompt 'site:https://priuschat.com/ reset remote', which you could equally do just a well as I could.
