Well, I did it and it dropped my mileage from 49 to 40. Then I did it again and disconnected my battery to let it reset. Currently getting 45 mpg. I'm assuming it will improve over the next 100 miles or so. This is a case of if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Interesting I actually had to clean the MAF Sensor on mine since codes from my Scangauge II, indicated that this was the possible culprit. I resetted the codes and after a few hundred miles, the check engine light never came back. it did increase my MPG a bit. Granted I have the original sensor with a 2nd engine. I'm just glad my car is still operational.
