    Hi everyone,

I’m working on my own 2016 Prius C (NHP10L). It took a hit in the front and the frame rails are now… let’s say “not factory spec” (photos attached).

I brought this car from the US for my wife, so I’m trying to bring it back to life instead of turning it into garage art.

This is a DIY project, a friend let me use his garage, and I’m doing my best to fix it properly, not just eyeball it and hope for the best.

Right now I’m stuck because I can’t find proper frame dimensions or measurement points for this car.

    Does anyone happen to have:

    • frame rail measurements

    • reference points

    • or anything from the body repair manual related to dimensions?
Even a screenshot or partial info would be a huge help.

I can take more photos or measurements if needed.

Trying to save this one from the scrap yard

    Thanks!

I've rebuilt a crashed Prius C front end once. There's really not that much up there compared to other Prius designs. Also lots of flexibility with the plastic exterior parts because of the lack of mounts. And I currently don't have a Prius C to take photos of the bent stuff for you.

Do you feel like you got the gear you're going to need to pull on it figured out? It's a significant amount of force to bend that kind of metal...

If this were my job I'd just eyeball it and try to bend everything back well enough that you can mount a bumper on it. No need to worry about exact measurements as long as the bolt holes line up and they're near the same length coming out of the frame.

As in, I'm pretty sure that if you can set up a rig to apply enough force to get it straight enough to mount a new bumper on it all the of the rest of the parts you put on top of that will line up without issue.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate you sharing your experience.

Yeah, I get your point — this front end is pretty simple compared to other cars, and I see how getting it “close enough” could work in practice.

But in my case I’d really like to get it as close to factory specs as possible, not just visually straight. Mostly for peace of mind and to be sure everything sits exactly where it should.

So if I can find proper measurement points or dimensions, I’d definitely prefer to go that route.

And yeah, I understand it’s going to take some serious force — still figuring out the best way to pull it properly

    Thanks again!

Thanks, that’s actually a very helpful page.

From what I understand, the main option there is Toyota TIS, which should have exactly what I need. I did look into it, but I was hoping to find another way first, if possible.

I’m specifically after the body repair manual or frame dimension data for the Prius C.

If you happen to know any other sources or if someone here has access and could check a few measurements, that would really help a lot.

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

You can ask AI... Or find a Prius C to pull front bumper cover from and take measurements. But I don't think a Prius C is an abundant enough vehicle on here for someone to have already sourced that info.

At least in the US market, Toyota stopped printing paper versions of those manuals with the 2011 model year. The electronic versions are the future (or, umm, were 2011's future, and our present).

And as listed on the wiki page, there's a techinfo.toyota.com URL we can use in North America, and a toyota-tech.eu URL usable in Europe (they get better prices than we do, if you have access to that). I just don't know which, if any, of those options would be the right one in Ukraine ... I understand that matters of EU access face some complications at the moment ....

The Collision Repair Manual contains detailed dimensioned drawings.

There's "Operation CHARM", but it doesn't appear that they have the Collision Repair Manual for that car.

I do have a Prius C I'll be working on towards the end of next week that I could take some measurements of, but suspect you'll be done by then.
