    Hello,

I just lost my key and it was really hard to find and I was worried I'd have to tow it to the dealer and pay for all new key fobs and everything. I don't want to have to deal with that again.

How can I get rid of the immobilizer, push-to-start, alarm...everything? I just want to have a regular $2 key from the hardware store, put it in and turn it on.

    How can I do this?

my car is shit and old I don't need the potential of being financially fucked by losing my key hanging over me more than the thought that someone might steal it (because they won't fr fr)

What car are you talking about? Your profile lists a 2013 Prius c One, which doesn't have pushbutton start and uses relatively basic keys.

I don't know which trim it is but it's a '13 Prius C. It has like a sunroof and push-to-start so it's not the basic trim but I never could figure out what One Two Three Four meant

Okay that helps. If you have pushbutton, that makes it either a Three or Four. I think +sunroof makes it a Four but I'm not positive.

The bad news is that it will be cheaper to trade it in for something else without those features.
