That's pretty good efficiency on the standard range car (12.4kWh/100km). However, note that because it only travelled 325km, it didn't quite make it up the mountain so the efficiency is slightly skewed. The long range did make it up the mountain so its efficiency of 13.63kWh/100km is more representative.

Bummer it doesn't seem to have plans to come to the usa. Offered in two battery sizes even the larger one on the EPA rating (20% lower than European scale) - even the bigger battery offered may get under 240 equivalent miles range

I think KIA is reserved in their battery estimates for most of their vehicles.

Our PHEV was rated at 26 miles for full charge but would often get 30 miles for full charge even approaching 40 miles in ideal conditions.
After 7 years and 78,000 miles it will get around 26 miles when fully charged.

Believe the KIA battery estimates for real life include a tremendous amount of buffer that exceeds that estimate to keep customer expectations/performance satisfied.

KIA EV3 is on its way to America as we speak

Well, the three appears less boxy than the two, so if we at least get that? All the better!

Yet Ioniq 6 owners are constantly complaining that it rarely reaches epa as compared to the equinox which usually does.

ioniq 6 should go roughly 340-360 but usually can’t go further than the 318 mile epa equinox.

in many cases KIA = Hyundai so you gotta wonder if the production varient will be dramatically shorter legged than the prototype

But now you got me started!

    The ionic 6 N boasts 600+hp - a 3 second 0-60 time & 11 seconds in the ¼ Mile.
Of course You got to pay for that performance. Over $70k out the door

Just wait for one off lease lol.

An EV6 GT that listed for $75k CAD in 2023 is now $40k CAD with under 50,000km.

Quick search of AutoTrader in California, 2024 models with 10K miles on the clock are going for $30-$35k USD.

2025 Ioniq5 N with 5K miles or less are going for $48-51k USD.

Like every car doesn't depreciate? And EVs faster because of battery concerns from the used car buying public.
