I have a 2012 v with 211k on it and the engine was replaced at 165k. Last week I went to leave the parking lot and put it in drive and it rolled back as if it’s in neutral. Did the same thing in reverse. I turned the car off and back on and put in drive and it started going but it was hesitant. Then the check engine, slip indicator, break light, and the I believe it’s the hv system light (car with ! In middle) all came on, I drove it over an hour to get home and it hesitated a few times when accelerating like a car with a slipping transmission does. I scanned with the obd2 and it shows the p0A80 code to replace hybrid battery. I reset it by unhooking the negative to the 12v and erased the code using the obd. I checked the cooling fan thinking that maybe the battery got hot and made the computer act stupid bc it was in the high 90s outside. The fan and filter was covered in dust so I took it all apart and cleaned the filter, vents and the fan. I drove it all week and didn’t have any issues then this morning I went to leave and at the first stop all 4the lights came back on with the same p0A80 code to replace hybrid/EV battery pack. Green bean has a remanufactured battery with new cylindrical battery modules for $1550, a Prismatic hybrid battery for $1750, or the sodium hybrid for $1950.. all of these have brand new cells. They also put in brand new nickel bus bars and new wiring harnesses and install at my location. Any suggestions on what type of battery to buy is greatly appreciated!
