The warning was in the Garden of Eden story, satan will forever nip at your heels. This was for every human to heed, the way I think about it.
It was very sad to see 47 accepting the nomination for a Nobel Peace Prize from Netanyahu over a flowered banquet table, I think on the same day the news had the pictures of Palestinian children dying of starvation.

rather than throw slurs at others or stereotype people you have never met or known........

many have learned to just go look in a mirror, taking a hard look at themselves and then humbled by what they see decide to just keep their mouths shut...

 

It was all performance, no substance, as Bibi dirtied his kneepads in public. That show was not part of the actual nomination process.

A cynic would point out that we don't really know if Bibi even submitted a nomination through the official process. Nominations remain secret for 50 years, so people can publicly suck up without actually submitting anything to the Nobel committee, and Dear Leader will never know.

Antisemitism remains the last form of sanctioned racism, even in the land of the free.

That's news to me - but then they're not my 'tribe' so that's not my particular fight.
I was raised as a Catholic, and when I became a citizen of the South I learned that Catholics are often regarded somewhat 'differently' than their Protestant neighbors, but even in the North it's a helluva LOT BETTER than being a someone of the Hebraic persuasion.
I used the term 'racism' above on purpose.
RACISM is defined as:
"...the belief, prejudice, or discrimination directed against someone based on their race, typically rooted in the belief that one's own race is superior."
Jews and Palestinians are considered by my moral and intellectual "betters" not to be of a distinct 'race' but rather both are considered.....AGAIN by my intellectual and moral "superiors" to be ethnically, religiously (or perhaps nationally?) distinct.
Jews do have their own religion, but not all Israelis are Jews.
Palestinians are perhaps like the Kurds - only without a distinct language.
Neither are a physical autonomous NATION.

AND YET.....many of the "usual suspects" define the systemic oppression of Palestinians as a form of racial discrimination.

As for myself?
I'd rather be a Jew in America or a Palestinian in Israel than EITHER an American OR a Jew in the Nation of Palestine.

Like many things here in PC......MY OPINION is MY OWN.

If Bibi yells across a room at 47 “I’m nominating you for the Nobel Prize,” and 47 says “thank you very much” it still can be described as 47 accepting the nomination. The important thing is that’s his focus of concern, getting a peace prize, when children are starving due to their actions. It doesn’t have to go to the formal process of Nobel Prize nominations to say that.
