I only had Dr Paul’s website making claims that I noticed were not backed up by images of source texts with headers. Sad to say, it is too common to find “omissions” and other selective ‘quotes’ that distort reality.

As for ‘lab books,’ an early General Electric practice was to maintain your logbook. Notes and patentable ideas were captured and if needed, witnessed.

So I am not surprised and even expect senior civil servants to maintain a logbook that stays with the agency when they leave. Just an honest presentation of the whole source, not partisan, selective quotes, would have some credibility.

I kept personnel paper notebooks of my work; because I noticed some of my equipment notes disappearing from the database. I was once ORDERED to do something that wasn't kosher - so I said your the boss and I'm noting it on the maintenance log. By the way; I have hard copies, so if anything should happen; you'll have to explain why there are holes in the data set. There were only 4 people in that department that had administrative access rights to make changes/deletions to the DB after the fact - I wasn't one of them.:ROFLMAO::rolleyes::cool:
My first real job was writing databases and the first thing we lay down is the check-n-trail files; so we don't get sued for business loses due to inaccurate data. The few times we were sued, we pulled up the login and time the incorrect data was entered and caused the business loss. It was always a flaw in data entry or someone "cooking-the-books" - NOT an issue with the DB.
