Some people wish Boeing would have re-engineered the Queen of the Skies as a twin-engine craft. They actually did, but re-named it the 777. An airplane that seems much less queenly.
Daily Kos was for me a secondary wake up when one cup of coffee didn't. But 'they' must have on Some Important Toes because now blocked here. I survive without it. Have VAST news media access across full political spectrum. More importantly, NO scientific publications are blocked here. My snuffling mainly driven by interest, but PriusChat often pushes me beyond. Thanks dudes.
I had only one 747 flight, from Boston to Providence (RI) - so brief but enough time for cabin crew to dissuade me from going 'upstairs'. I would take Airbus 380 if opportunity comes, but they don't much go where I want to. I once chatted up a 380 crew in Beijing about ...things. That was great.
MeidasTouch News Group Occupy Democrats BREAKING: New reporting shows Trump took his special young blonde aide with him to hide in the catering truck -- and left Steven Miller in danger! When Donald Trump was secretly whisked away from Air Force One in a catering truck last month because of a supposed Iranian assassination threat, only a tiny circle of aides was allowed to escape with him – and the passenger list says quite a lot about Trump's true inner circle. According to new reporting from The Washington Post, Secretary of State Marco Rubio didn't make the cut. Neither did Stephen Miller, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, communications director Steven Cheung or several other senior administration officials. But Trump made damn sure Natalie Harp came with him. Harp, Trump's famously smitten 35-year-old aide and constant companion, joined Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino and former Trump body man Walt Nauta inside the catering truck that secretly transported Trump to a smaller Air Force C-32A. All three stuck with Trump at Mar-a-Lago during the wilderness years between presidencies, through impeachments and criminal investigations. Nauta was even charged alongside Trump in the classified-documents case. Harp, meanwhile, is Trump's “human printer,” perpetually at his side with a portable printer supplying him with news articles, emails and social media posts. NYT reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan revealed that she left him intensely personal notes during the 2024 campaign, including one declaring, “You are all that matters to me.” When Trump's security detail had to decide who stayed closest to the president, the human printer and her large, mysterious mom-bag apparently weren't getting left behind. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also transferred to the C-32A, boarding separately in a manner that made him appear to be the senior official aboard. Meanwhile, the original Air Force One continued on with Rubio, Miller, Bessent and the entire White House press pool. Reporters believed Trump was still traveling with them and were reportedly instructed to close their window shades after boarding. That raises a serious question beneath the cloak-and-dagger spectacle: If intelligence indicated Trump's publicly identified aircraft faced a credible Iranian threat, what precautions were taken for everyone left aboard? Sen. Richard Blumenthal is now demanding a congressional briefing to find out. Trump finally addressed the operation Tuesday, saying the Secret Service made the decision and he simply followed its instructions. Then he offered a pretty strange defense of leaving everybody else behind. “I think actually the plane that I flew on was at greater risk,” Trump said, “because that would be the plane that they would be more likely to go for.” He also explained that he faces threats because he's such an important president, comparatively speaking. “Any consequential president has a lot of threats,” Trump declared. “Non-consequential presidents don't get threatened. And I think that I may be the most consequential.” Yeah, Washington and Lincoln used to switch planes like that too. Whatever the security calculus, the passenger list offers a fascinating glimpse into Trump's strange little universe. When the presidential entourage suddenly shrank to a handful of people, the ones closest to Trump weren't necessarily those with the grandest titles, but those who had been personally closest and most loyal to him for years. Rubio is secretary of state. Miller is one of the most powerful architects of Trump's presidency. Natalie Harp carries his newspapers and once wrote that he was “all that matters” to her. When it was time to disappear into a catering truck, Harp went with Trump. For a president who has spent a lifetime measuring people by how faithfully they serve, flatter and defend him, there may be no more revealing passenger list. When Donald Trump thought the danger was real, he didn't just take his staff. He took HIS people.
We are glad that Hegseth was not in Catering Box One. We don't like him. -- For these wes I point readers to character Randall in TV series Black Sails. Black Sails had plenty o' other-than-heterosexual sex, providing more distraction for distractors if here in need. Set your sails, and buy more Commemorative coins for yer treasure chests. Arrr.
S2 always brings the deets. As it turns out? P45/47 wasn't the first.... He wasn't even the second POTUS to do this although in truth he may have been the first one to do a Grover Cleveland transportation swap for reasons OTHER than cheating on his wife or being too enfeebled to climb stairs...... I freekin' LOVE it!!!! Best secret squirrel move EVER!!! They left the press aboard the plane that was threatened with being shot down! They were bait! Master ba-
I had the experience of being one of three (3) passengers aboard a 747 from Alaska to Hawaii sometime in the later 1970s. I was a kid then; my younger sibling and I spent the entire flight running laps up and down the twin aisles while mom and the 12 flight attendants slept. Pan-Am really needed that plane in Honolulu for something. I later enjoyed business travel rides on 747s for LAX-SYD on QANTAS, and LAX-KIX-MNL on Northwest. Only time I sat upstairs was LAX-LHR, British Airways. Only had one A380 hop so far, JFK-FRA on Lufthansa. More recently enjoying A350 trips. I did EWR-SIN on Singapore Airlines a few years ago, that was a treat. Very comfortable ride. I occasionally get a ride in these odd buggies at IAD, but somehow I still haven't had a trip in a scissor-lift catering wagon. I guess that's just part of the exclusivity of federal executive government.
Heard Natalie lured Trump into the catering truck with a Happy meal; because it would've taken too much time to explain what was going on; and her hands hurt from slapping him awake all the time. He enjoyed the slapping. Hey; he's 80 and has small hands.....
47 is talking about himself, as usual, projecting. Saying Biden is vicious is just stupid, ridiculous, and the opposite is true. Since I believe in Jesus, it’s not for me to worry about what’s in store for 47, but without a doubt my observation is 47 is projecting his own viciousness, which is extreme. We have many examples of it, he has a severe mental illness. Biden beat him in the election by the widest margin of votes in history, a blow out win. No court or eo is going to change that.
. Good points there Mr.Vanvandenburg. My post was in reference, and a reply to #13, which I found brutally hypocritical.
He is on ignore, once in a while I unignore the maga and react to them. You were making colorful observations. CB is a volunteer cult soldier eager to protect the leader. Logic is nowhere to be found. He probably is a nice person, which you may not agree with. I don’t know if even Mr. Rogers could maintain his cool around a maga soldier though.
. LOL. Believe it or not ... at least 2 of my good friends are maga-disciples. The GF of one of them asked me while we were standing at my home bar waiting for karaoke "How do you and Bxxxx get along so well being that you are political polar opposites?!?". The answer was simple ... WE BOTH KNOW IT ... AND WE DON'T TALK POLITICS. The other guy I've know since give or take first grade. I just deal with it and let it go. Maybe ... just maybe ... I could get along just fine with ColoradoBoo in regular public. A coupla others here ... not chance. I really wish that weren't the case.
