Anyone have a suggestion on where to buy the Toyota WS oil. Maybe I could also order Toyota red coolant...
No, since your choices in the WS arena are pretty much Toyota, Toyota, or Toyota, you can count on being raped when you need some. Look at the bright side, our trans only needs ~4qts of the stuff, whereas most multi-speed autos take on the order of 12-15. And then of course, there's Nissan who has left Toyota in the dust in this department -- they seem to have a unique "boutique" ATF for each model in their line-up (Matic-F, Matic-J, Matic-K, etc.) IIRC, my former car, a G35 absolutely required Nissan Matic-J, which cost at least $11 per quart.
Call around to all the dealerships in your area for pricing. I called three dealers near me and got three different prices, ranging from $fivesomething to $ninesomething. Also, some dealers will match prices.
price shopping By the way Highbreed, the coolant you want is SLLC and I would call it pink. The red stuff is LLC and it was the spec. juice for 2003 and earlier Prius.
Thank you. This is helpful indeed. Wonder if anyone has purchased WS tranny oil online. I want to buy a case at least.
its fair at my dealer for ws, about 4.18. For the prius you only need about 5. You need s-LLC for the new prius a gallon bottle will do.
That's a good price... looks like nobody buys this stuff online. Gotta check local dealers. Anyone from SoCal (Orange County or L.A. county)?
