Mileage on Touring, does it differ?

    I am about to purchase my first Prius and was considering the touring model which seems scarce in the northeast. Does anyone know if there is any real difference in handling? Any advantage at all that would make it worth it to search for a touring model?

    I bought a Touring in January of this year. I was concerned if the mileage differed (which started this thread actually) and got a lot of good feedback from folks about "all things Touring" so please read the entire thread to see some good information.

    People who have driven sportier cars as well as standard Prii before buying the Touring feel there is a difference in handling. Some folks say "get it cause the wheels are nicer" if that is important to you, if you thiink the spoiler is extra cool.

    I'd say if you want a little better corner handling and/or like the extra look go for it. My hope is that it will have good resale since they are less common. I wound up with mine because it was the only one with the rest of the features and color I wanted.

    If none of those even register for you save the $$, the Standard are lovely cars
