I've run into a roadblock trying to install some performance enhancements for PriusChat and I don't want to have to wait for a "consultant" to get back to me. Is anyone here good at patching files? I've attached a zip file to this post, and if anyone can get these files patched successfully, I'll throw in a prize. I've tried patching them manually, but for some reason that didn't work out. I tried running the patch command in Unix, but kept getting hunk failures.
It looks to me like these patches are meant for a different version that the software you're trying to apply it against. There are some non-trivial differences between what's there and what the patch is expecting. I should be able to patch it by hand, but it may take a little while. I'll see if I can't get it done tonight...
Danny, the patches reference some files (besides what their name implies) that aren't in the zip. Could you take a scrub through the patches and add the missing files? Thanks!
Well, I was going to help you out. But if you're not hot enough for this to keep up on the thread you started in a timely fashion, why should I be hot to help? It's been two days now since I posted comments and questions that have gone unanswered.
Hey there, sorry about not replying yesterday afternoon. You can ignore that forum_cache.patch. I think that's the only one that has a .patch file without a module file.
path_cache.patch also makes reference to these two files: path_cache.patch:RCS file: /cvs/drupal/drupal/includes/common.inc,v path_cache.patch:RCS file: /cvs/drupal/drupal/includes/path.inc,v Looks like that's it. The rest all seem to be there. I'll keep plugging away at it as time permits.
Here they are, mostly patched. There's still those two missing inc files, but everything else is done. I can't test it, obviously, so hopefully they will work.
Hey Mr Zorg, psssst . . . you can tell us . . . you secretly installed the [you] command and PriusChat points codes . . . huh? huh? Oh common, please . . . tell us you did.
Here's those patched... Hope it all works! There were some rather substantial differences between the all these and the version the patches were expecting, so I had to interpolate... Good luck.
Had to do some other server configurations first before I could apply the patches... going to do it now. Thanks for your help! I'll let you know how it goes.
