Picture of it. Just Google: 2009 Prius Click on the first or second one. Picture of a dark blue 2009. Evolutionary styling, not revolutionary.
If you're talking about this.... That's the Hybrid X (see the license plate) and is not what the 2009 will be though most people expect some sort of cross b/w that and the current Prius.
And this is another "photo" that's been floating around...an artists interpretation of what he'll think it'll look like. I think we'll know for certain in the next month or so.
When you google "2009 prius" be careful, pay attention to the date. A lot of the "2009 prius" forecasts from google searches were issues in 2006-2007. Lots of those predictions were aimed at the LiOn batteries and plug-in features, which are now expected in 2009 as a 2010 model.
Charles, I gotta chime in and say that that's not exactly the best first post I've ever seen. As if all the guys here who've logged hundreds or even thousands of posts haven't.... Respectfully, Dave
I was at the Toronto Green Living Show last week and Toyota rep told me that the 2009 model will be introduced at the Detroit auto show in Feb 2009. I also saw the Hymotion plug in for the City of Toronto (they have 6 of them) The one on display has been getting the best MPG at 2.5 l / km driven mostly in the city although they drove it from Toronto to Sudbury once. I believe that's about a 300 mile trip each way.
Well then, that just confirms what we've heard (unless he also read the news and was just reiterating). didn't know the city had HyMotion packs. nice!
HyMotion did these installs before releasing it to the public. The City and Municipalities also have Civic hybrids. There was a courier company (not a major player) at the show that plan to convert their whole fleet to hybrids by 2010.
It'll be called the 2010 model. The 2009 model will be delivered in September this year. http://www.donlen.com/buildstart_toyota.html Ken@Japan
