About a month ago I traded in my chevy silverado and purchased a prius. I have been a "truck girl" ever since I was able to drive, so it was weird at first being a "car" owner. But once I got past the feeling that everyone is going to rear end me (no longer having a six foot bed seperating me from the cars behind me) I realized that I absolutely LOVE my prius. I tell everyone about it... And its so quiet and rides great... Nothing like my big ol' truck... By the way, this forum is awesome, very helpful, since I am very to new to the whole idea of driving a car and I have no idea about hybrids... Love it!
Hello and welcome! Be sure to drop by the KB forum for more tips and tricks! The Care, Maintenance and Troubleshooting forum is another good one for car care tips and other issues that you might encounter (like.. is that buzzing from the brakes normal and what is making that noise? etc etc)
Been there..done that...bought the Prius! There is my initial post around here where I too climbed out of my 2004 Chevy Crewcab that was loaded to the hilt with 30k miles..loved that truck..and a 26 gallon gas tank that averaged 15mpg....still, I loved that truck. Absolutely love the Prius...loved that truck too...and I have not bought gas yet! I have had it two weeks now and if I were still driving that truck ...loved that truck, I would have filled up at least twice. I was and always will be a "truck GUY"...loved that truck...but, after having the Prius for a couple of weeks, I only miss my truck...loved that truck... when I need to haul something...then I borrow the neighor's Dodge...GOD I loved that truck... that gets around 10mpg..and then I thank God I bought the Prius again....still love my truck! Congrats on the purchase and "I feel your pain" and I still love my truck but, you have to do what you have to do...I will always have my memories.....of 80.00 fillups
I hear ya on that....everytime I look at pics of my truck i cant help but think that somebody else is going to be driving it, although it has been on the dealers lot since March 14....who knows, maybe in a few years with all the money i will be savin, i'll go buy it back for the $8,000 it'll be worth
