Can anyone suggest a product for re-vitalizing and protecting the black exterior plastic parts on my 2007 Prius. I rummaged through the detailing posts, but haven't found anything specific for plastic. Some parts of my vehicle are getting a slight milky haze. Thanks.

I have been using 303 for most of the year I have owned my 2007. There is no evidence of haziness or other aging on the vinyl, inside or outside. My car is not garaged, and is exposed to direct sun every day.
My husband uses Stoner Trim Shine on his 1999 F250, and it makes the formerly hazy plastic areas (mirror, bumper and side moldings) look brand new, it's really amazing stiff. People think it's a new truck, ever since he started using it. I believe you can find it at nearly any auto store, he purchases it from Kragen.
I have been using the zaino plastic protector stuff but am going to try the 303 products. Thanks for the free trial links!!
This stuff has been the best so far. I found it at the dealer.Where you buy The OEM oil filter. Mothers Back-To-Black Bumper & Trim Care restores black plastic & rubber bumpers and trim to their original black color. Care for your car's bumper
i second Mothers Back to Black..used it on my Tundra along with their chrome polish on the bumpers and trim, looked just like it did in 05
Black Wow....an excellent, but pricey product that will GREATLY outlast 303 or Back to Black. Try Autogeek.com....enter "autopia" for a 10% discount or join their forum for free shipping over $75.
I'v had my 05 for about 3.5 years now and have only used Pledge furniture polish on it. For the first time' I thought of the exterior plastic ( which I had never done!) used pledge on that too and it looks like new. Stuff is cheap oops, inexpensive also.
I picked some of this stuff up a few days ago. I found it to be a bit pricey ($5.64, 12 oz) for the minimal results I got. It doesn't remove any wax you may have gotten on the black trim and doesn't cover well with only one application. It's more of a liquid instead of a gel, which works better IMO.(To remove wax use Windex applied to a rag and rub fairly hard. The soaps and wax you use are the most likely cause of the haze along with age.) Armor All works well on plastic and is so-so on vinyl.
Ours got hazy (esp the mirror backs) simply from sun damaging the plastic over the years, from not being garaged. Thus, it's not possible to clean them. But the Stoner Trim Shine took the haze away instantly. We need to reapply it every month or so, but it's worth it as it keeps the truck looking brand new.
Over on detailcity.org the more frequently mentioned trim restorer was Poorboy's Trim Restore. Black WOW also received good reviews, but is pricey, and most thought not any better than PB TR. I've used "Black Again"; it's ok but not so great that I've stopped looking for a better product. All of these are better than your typical auto parts store products (Mother's Back to Black, etc.).
I'm seriously considering covering my car at work. Protecting the plastic is secondary - I want the interior - and batteries cooler in the Texas sun.
My brother in-law has a Harley soft tail classic anniversary edition. He has the dealer detail it regularly. He went into the shop and was surprised to find them them applying Lemon Pledge. Guess the secret is out!
