Coastal is out of stock. I called curt and they dont make them. Who is making this for coastal or are there any other vendors. I have google'd this and find nothing.
This is what I've found. Not sure if these are 2" or 1 1/4", but either way they are showing as out of stock for me (our supplier does not carry them, even though I have repeatedly asked). Manufacturer Part Number HIDDEN HITCH 60894 REESE 77179 DRAW TITE 24808 I have a feeling they are all the same part since they all cost exactly the same.
Thanks Hidden is class 1 (1") Draw tite is class 1 (1") Reese I cant find. I found a hitch maker in Orange county that will weld on a class 2 (2") but I'm Leary to have something welded on to the car. I don't want the dealer to void my warranty because they see a full size tow hitch.
You may want to do a search on this board regarding the Coastal hitches. Several have had problems such as the hitch bending (on both the 2" and the 1 1/4"). Do you really need a 2" hitch? As far as I know, no company makes anything but a Class I hitch (regardless of shank size) for the Prius, so you're stuck with Class I accessories. Good luck! ... Brad
Interesting...... The hitch shop said If I bought the bolt on I would have problems with it bending. The 2" cargo baskets have a bolt to tighten the side to side slop if there is any. I dont thing the 1" offer that because there is not enough metal to drill a hole and install the bolt.
